| Exotic Dancer's Fan Fair
Las Vegas, NV: So we are off to another trek through the desert. We normally do this twice a year, for what was once called CES (Consumer Electronics Show) and for the VSDA (Video Software Dealers Association) and now both have been changed into the AVN Adult Expos, talk about a monopoly. But every once in awhile, a different show is put on in the desert playhouse. During the huge computer show called Comdex, the adult industry puts on an adult version called AdultDex. And for the adult dance clubs, or the so-called "Gentlemen's
Clubs", to make them sound less sleazy, (but isn't that why we like to go to these clubs in the first place) puts on a huge panel discussion/trade show/fan event.
The Exotic Dancer magazine's Expo and Fan Fair were held at one of Vegas' huge convention halls. Exotic Dancer magazine's publisher, Don Waitt, always goes all out to put on a great show. Waitt's organization, the Association of Club Executives (ACE), was formed to help the club owners with legal information to help them fight local authorities that keep harassing the dance clubs.
Besides the legal venues for the club owners at the expo, one could find the people who make the furniture for the clubs, and the beverage dispensers, and the lighting and sound systems, and the dancewear for the performers and so much more.
But the highlight every year is the Fan Fair. Since the Expo area is for industry only, Fan Fair was created for the fans to come and meet all the feature performers that show up to the clubs. This year was a huge success when it came to turnout of performers. Nearly a hundred performers came and got up close and personal with the lucky fans. Fans were allowed to take topless photographs with the ladies as well as get autographed items from them also. There is no way I can name all the performers that attended, so I hope they don't get mad at me for leaving some of them out, but here is just a sampling of some of the adult film star performers that attended:
Mimi Miyagi, Tiger Lily, Crystal Knight, Flower, Lovette, Shayla LaVeaux, Anna Malle, Ruby, Julia Parton, Xxxena, Gina Lynn (who was looking very tasty, I'm gonna have to get to know her better soon), Sydnee Steele, Vanna Lace, Adara Michaels (wearing her Elton John glasses), Felicia, Selena Steele, Nikita
Ka$h, Brooke Hunter, Christi Lake, Tina Toy, Safire Blue and TONS of feature dance performers, most I have never met before but were nice enough for us to interview.
A few that stuck in my mind and will always be in my dreams are: Marley Murphy, Elizabeth Starr (Who said we could make a super intimate "movie" together. Details at her website guys), Chanel Paree (Who was also promoting that she would be getting VERY intimate with her fans at the Moonlight Bunnyranch brothel. Wish I brought more money with me to spend, if you know what I mean.) Aspen Reign, Summer Leigh, Savannah Powers (One of the HOTTEST dancers I have seen. I think I'm in love.) Alisha Lee, Kim Eternity, Dance Duo Glori-Anne & Melissa Wolf, CJ Cummings, Jenaka Love, Venus DeLight, June Summers, Playboy Playmate of the Year Debra Jo Fondren, and super sexy local talent Miss Heather Monroe.
Also floating around the show was cable personality "The Flashman" and his new sexy Asian discovery, Mistress Mirage. I know I'm missing a ton of girls, but this is to show you guys that there are LOTS of ladies to see at this event and there next one is coming up this summer, so plan ahead now to attend.
And if you want to see more of the performers and what they look like, check out their websites. Almost all of them had websites to keep in touch with their fans. I know I'm planning on attending this year's event. Besides the Fan Fair, every night of the convention had wild party events at all the local Las Vegas strip clubs with tons of the girls attending and performing for the fans. So it was a trip well worth it, probably more so than the other adult related events held during the year.
